Are you longing to get your energy and peace back?
Knowing how to respond effectively to stress can make a huge difference emotionally, physically and in our relationships. As a psychotherapist, I love empowering clients with coaching on mind/body coping strategies to embody safety and self-soothe.
Together, in our counselling sessions, we will work to identify the purpose of your anxiety, reduce it's intensity and empower you to embrace uncertainty with growing courage and confidence.
Are you ready to get off the worry/hurry train and slow down and enjoy life?
Modern life, especially parenting has us juggling a lot of roles and responsibilities. There's no such thing as perfect balance but together we can work to identify what you need, set healthy boundaries and redefine success on your terms. Check out my free resources for podcast interviews and free guides to support your parenting journey.
Are you looking for a compassionate witness to hold space for your pain as you learn to live with loss?
All change requires a grieving process and both gentleness and courage. There's no time line for grief but together, honouring your pace you can learn to be with your emotions, honour what you need and work towards finding peace with what is and opening up to what is possible moving forward.
Are you craving a loving, equal relationship?
Relationships are hard at the best of times. But I know what is possible when we release unfair expectations, communicate effectively and become conscious parents and partners. My relationship coaching for women draws on years of co-leading groups on healthy relationships with both men and women and specialized transition to parenthood training for couples. I am a Certified Gottman Educator in the Bringing Baby Home Program and a regular contributor to the Gottman Relationship Blog.
Please note, I am not providing couples therapy at this time.
If you are concerned for your safety, I have 24 free support lines in Ontario for you to access safety planning.
Are you an aspiring, new or seasoned helping professional longing for someone to care for you?
It is an honour to be a helping professional but it can take a toll. You spend all day caring for others, bearing witness to emotional or physical pain. You deserve to be cared for too. Being new in the field can feel exciting and overwhelming. Together we will lay down these burdens, work to protect and reset your nervous system and boundaries and harness the transformative power of vicarious resilience. I've recovered from secondary trauma and burn out. I am a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional with supervision and leadership training and experience.
Part compassionate witness, part seed planter, part teacher and part coach; my sensitivity and deep commitment to my own healing and awakening journey are my superpowers.
I see you. I feel your pain and your power. Together we will tailor a treatment plan that's right for you and fits your budget.

One approach does not work for everyone. Drawing on 20 years clinical experience and ongoing professional development, my sessions are Client Centered and Strengths Based. I draw on : Attachment and Conscious Parenting Theory, Information Processing Theory, Interpersonal Neuropsychology and the research of relationship experts, Drs. John and Julie Gottman. And in the last few years I have received and learned with high end coaches which I incorporate into my work.
I use concepts and practices from training in: Mindfulness, Mindful Self-compassion, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solutions Focused Therapy (SFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work, Narrative Therapy, Polyvagal Informed Therapy and Trauma Informed therapy.
I've been dreaming of walking and talking with my clients for years. Every time I step outside, a sense of peace washes over me and that's my hope for you too.
Research shows even a ten minute walk can boost our moods. Time in Nature can help to soothe the nervous system and improve physical and emotional health.
Movement is essential for completing the stress response cycle and being in optimal health.
Our first session will always be virtual and we can do a combination of outdoor and virtual sessions.
Walking sessions are available (weather permitting) along a scenic, stroller friendly Grand River trail. Some weekend sessions will be offered.
